Pottsburgh Creek Kayaking Adventure

Join us for a morning paddle on Pottsburg Creek in Jacksonville, FL! This beginner-friendly creek offers calm, sheltered water through a scenic wooded corridor — perfect for kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards.

What to Expect

We'll meet at the Beach Boulevard boat ramp, launch our boats, and explore the winding creeks and quiet backwaters of the Pottsburg Creek system. Expect to see herons, egrets, turtles, and maybe even a manatee or dolphin near the mouth of the creek.

• Difficulty: Beginner-friendly — mild current, sheltered water
• Distance: ~3-4 miles round trip, relaxed pace
• Duration: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

What to Bring

• Kayak, canoe, or paddle board + life vest (required)
• Paddle
• Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses
• Water and snacks
• Dry bag for phone/keys
• Closed-toe water shoes

Rentals: Need a kayak? All Wet Sports (8550 Beach Blvd, adjacent to the launch) offers rentals, repairs, and gear. Contact them in advance to reserve.

Location: Beach Boulevard/Pottsburg Creek Boat Ramp, 8540 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32216. Free parking and restrooms on site.

Weather policy: We'll paddle rain or light drizzle. In case of lightning or severe weather, we'll reschedule.
